Q: How do I know you guys are legitimate?
A: The Internet is a big place and we understand you need to be sure you’re buying from a reputable company. We encourage you to read about us here. Affordit is backed by a world-class group of investors and entrepreneurs who have helped launch companies such as PayPal, BillMeLater, and Mint.com among many others.
Q: Where are you located?
A: Our corporate headquarters are in Santa Monica, California and our fulfillment office is in Powell, Ohio.

Order Processing
Q: What does the approval process consist of?
A: The approval process starts immediately and is usually completed within 72 business hours. We can ship a product once we receive the down payment and all verifications are complete. Your payment method can only be made by the following: Major Debit or Credit Card (Visa, MasterCard, American Express or Discovery) with sufficient funds in such accounts. We do not accept pre-paid or gift credit cards. Once your account is approved (please note the down payment is verified by our bank and they will confirm to us within 24 business hours of ordering), your product will be processed for shipping. You would know automatically if you were declined solely by your payment method as you would receive a "declined" notification.
Q: What kind of verification do you need to conduct?
A: Everything we need to verify can be found on our application form when purchasing a product. The verification list in advance, which includes corresponding contact information, is (but not limited to): Employment, Place of Residence and References. We also require your Social Security Number and Date of Birth as we do not sell to minors.
Q: What's the difference between activation fee and the down payment?
A: The activation fee is a one time payment for first time customers to set up your account. Repeat customers do not pay the activation fee for additional purchases. The down payment is the first payment towards your purchase and is charged for all purchases.
Q: What does "Processing" and "Completed" mean as my status?
A: "Processing" includes the time for your account to approve and the necessary time to prepare your package for pick-up to be delivered by Fedex, UPS or USPS. Most accounts with declined payment information are notified immediately. If your account is not declined immediately, your account will most likely be approved within the next 48 business hours. A "Completed" status means your product has been picked up by Fedex, UPS or USPS for delivery to you and an email will be sent to you shortly with a tracking number for you to follow your product online.
Q: What are the next steps after I’m approved?
A: Once your account is approved, we will process your package for delivery, to be picked up by FedEx, UPS or USPS.
Q: What are your shipping time lines and do I receive a tracking number?
A: You will usually receive your package within 7 – 10 business days from the day you sign up at Affordit.com. While you wait, and once your package is picked up for delivery, your package will be assigned a tracking number that will be emailed to you for online tracking.
Credit Score
Q: I have poor credit – can I still use AffordIt?
A: Yes! Our service was designed to allow those who cannot easily get credit through traditional credit companies and lenders to get a fair chance to purchase. We accept any major Debit or Credit Card (Visa, MasterCard, etc).
Billing and Payment
Q: What types of payment do you accept?
A: We accept any major Debit or Credit Card (Visa, MasterCard, etc). We do NOT accept pre-paid credit cards.
Q: How will you charge my account?
A: We will use the payment method you have provided to process your Down Payment as well as each of your weekly payments.
Q: When will my weekly charges begin?
A: They will begin 7 days after your initial purchase. Sometimes this may occur a few days before your product actually arrives.
Q: How long will you charge my account for?
A: We will charge your account each week until your term is complete. Most terms are less than six months and are clearly stated on the product purchase page. After your last payment, you are done.
Q: Can I change the date of my scheduled payments?
A: Yes. This must be done manually by our Customer Service Representatives to verify the change is coming from you. Please contact us at contact@AffordIt.com so that we may help you as we need this information documented.
Q: Can I pay my product off early?
A: Yes. Please email us at contact@AffordIt.com to request a pay off amount and instructions to assist you.
Q: My account was "declined" but money was still taken out of my account
A: These are pending charges, not actual charges and will be automatically returned to your personal account within 72 business hours (excluding all weekends and holidays).
Q: Can I get a duplicate receipt of my purchase?
A: Email us at contact@affordit.com to request a duplicate receipt of your purchase. Our customer care will reply with your request within 48 business hours as we need all requests documented.
Products and Shipping
Q: Are these products used or refurbished?
A: No. We sell brand new products.
Q: Do you sell these products directly?
A: We usually ship through our partner companies, so your package will likely arrive in their box.
Q: When will my product ship?
A: Shipping will begin once your account has been confirmed. This will typically require either a conversation with one of our Customer Service Representatives or an alternative verification of identity. Once your account is confirmed, your order will be processed and shipped. Processing and Shipping usually takes 1 - 2 business days after account confirmation and then another 5 - 7 business days to arrive.
Q: My product is no longer functioning? What do I do?
A: Email us at contact@affordit.com and specify your product is no longer functioning correctly. Our customer care will assist you within 48 business hours as we need all warranty information requests documented.
Security
Q: How do I know my payment information is secure?
A: We are a PCI compliant website (PCISecurityStandards.org) and approved by ComplyTraq. On-line merchants are now required to demonstrate that they comply with the highest levels of payment information security to process secure monetary transactions. We employ these same standards on all recurring transactions as well, so all of your payment data is safe.
Refunds
Q: How are refunds processed? How long do they take?
A: Your refund will be posted to the same account where funds were initially paid from. When a refund is due, we will begin the refund process by posting the refund to your account. Please be aware, though, that it can take up to 72 business hours (starting the day after the refund has been posted) for the refund to actually show up in your account, sometimes longer.
